Those interested in trying out an Indian motorcycle have plenty of options now that the riding season is here.
Here’s a look at four ways to experience the brand’s motorcycles over the coming months.
1. SCHEDULE A TEST RIDE AT YOUR NEAREST DEALER
Dealers now have a stock of demonstration bikes that you can take out for a test ride. Simply go online, choose a dealer from a dropdown menu and then fill out a form. The dealer will then contact you to arrange your booking.
2. INDIAN MOTORCYCLE ROADSHOW
Indian’s touring Roadshow returns in many countries throughout Europe again this season. A number of branded trucks will be driving between dealers offering local riders the chance to have a go on all the models in the 2017 line-up. More details here.
RENT AN INDIAN FROM EAGLERIDER

EagleRider recently carried out a survey of its customers and discovered that its USA Coast to Coast Motorcycle Road Trip is the favourite. EagleRider offers this road trip, which can cost upwards of $11,000 per person elsewhere, for less than $6,000.
The company was founded in 1992, out of a garage with just an idea and a handful of motorcycles and the addition of Indian Motorcycle’s bagger and tourer models, like the Springfield and Roadmaster, are great news for those looking to do an American road trip on something new and different.
Recently the French singer and actor, Johnny Hallyday and his friends hired Indian Springfields with EagleRider and rode the New Orleans to Los Angeles.
Hallyday remains largely unknown outside of France, thus earning the nickname “the biggest rock star you’ve never heard of” in English-speaking countries yet he has completed 181 tours, had 18 platinum albums and has sold more than 80 million records worldwide.

4. HIRE FROM HOTEL SCHWEIZERHOF SANTA MARIA IN SWITZERLAND
If the USA seems a bit too far away then how about hiring an Indian in Switzerland and riding on twisting mountain roads? The husband and wife owners of Hotel Schweizerhof Santa Maria, Sonja and Hans Bühler, have built up a fleet of Indian Scouts and Chieftains and will hire them out to bikers at special rates from May onwards. The hotel is close to the Stelvio Pass and 14 other incredible mountain pass roads.
The pair offer three different motorcycle packages; an eight passes tour, Serpentine coaching (teaching you how to corner) and a Re-entry course for riders who have had a long lay off from riding.
A day’s hire costs 100 CHF and 550 CHF for a weekend with a 500km limit.
