A bold, performance-oriented version of the iconic Indian Chief, the Sport Chief builds upon the rich legacy of one of the most historic and influential motorcycle names. Setting a new benchmark for American V-Twin performance cruisers, the Sport Chief combines top-tier performance components with timeless American styling.

In the creation of the Sport Chief, Indian Motorcycle prioritized performance by incorporating premium components from reputable brands. Equipped with KYB inverted front forks, also found on Indian Challenger models, the Sport Chief delivers superior handling and ride performance. Its dual-disc, four-piston, semi-floating caliper, and radial-mounted Brembo brakes instil rider confidence with their impressive stopping power. Furthermore, the piggyback rear FOX shocks provide enhanced travel, extending to 100 mm, and increasing the lean angle to 29.5 degrees when compared to other Indian Chief models. The outcome is a Sport Chief that hungers for spirited riding and offers the assurance and capability to elevate the riding experience to new heights.

Retaining the mechanical styling of the Indian Chief, the Sport Chief features a straightforward steel-tube frame. At its core lies a blacked-out Thunderstroke 116 engine, delivering a huge 162 Nm of torque. It stands out with a stylish Quarter Fairing, new moto-style handlebars equipped with machined triple clamps and 152 mm risers, setting it apart from the rest of the Indian Chief lineup. Riders will appreciate the commanding yet comfortable riding position with mid-mount foot controls and a solo gunfighter seat. The Sport Chief boasts sport cast wheels shod in Pirelli Night Dragon tires, a 15.1-litre fuel tank, bobbed rear fender, dual exhaust, LED lighting, keyless ignition, and three selectable ride modes: Sport, Standard, and Tour.

Enhancing the riding experience is Indian Motorcycle’s state-of-the-art 101 mm touchscreen powered by RIDE COMMAND, which comes as standard equipment. Accessible via handlebar controls or the digital touchscreen display, riders have access to multiple interfaces, including two distinct gauge configurations, bike and ride information, and turn-by-turn navigation*. If using a wireless helmet communicator, riders can manage their music through the RIDE COMMAND system once their phone is paired via Bluetooth® or USB. Moreover, riders can access phone information, including recent calls, contacts, number pad, and text message history. When connected, incoming calls will appear, allowing them to be accepted or declined directly through the RIDE COMMAND system.
